1. Asia
This continent is believed to be the largest continent of the world with estimated land area of about 31 million Km². It is also the most populated continent of the World having over 4.8 billion people living in it.
According to the United Nations, they’re 48 countries in Asia but however they’re other regions regarded as countries of their own in Asia.

2. Africa
Africa is the second largest continent of the world after Asia with estimated land area of about 29 million Km². It is also the second most populated continent of the World having over 1.4 billion people residing in it. They’re 54 countries in Africa.
3. Europe
In the seven continent system, Europe is one of them with population of over 700 million people residing in it. The estimated land area is over 22 million Km². They’re 45 sovereign countries situated in Europe.
4. North America
North America is one continent of the world with over 21 million Km² as it’s land area and over 600 million people occupying the continent. A total of 22 countries made up North America as a continent.
5. South America
Population: over 400 million people
Land Area: over 17 million Km²
Number of Countries: 13 countries
6. Australia/Oceania
This is the smallest continent of the world by population with over 40 million people. It has a land area of about 9 million Km². A total of 16 countries are situated in this continent.
7. Antarctica
Antarctica is one the seven continent system with no land area over 13 million Km². It is the only continent with no human population on it because it is the most coldest, driest, and windiest of the continents, and it has the highest average elevation.
