About NAERLS
The National Agricultural Extension and Research Liaison Services (NAERLS) is one of the 18 National Agricultural Research Institutes (NARIs) under the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The Institute is responsible for development, collation, evaluation and dissemination of proven agricultural innovations and to research on extension methodologies and policy.
NAERLS Job Responsibilities
- Assist in planning organizing, and conducting research projects under the guidance of senior researchers.
- Collect and analyze data, prepare reports, and contribute to the publication of research findings.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement research methodologies.
- Stay updated on relevant literature and advancements in the field of agriculture.
- Contribute to the development of extension materials and participate in outreach programs.
- Maintain accurate records of research activities and ensure compliance with research protocols.
- Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and research funding applications.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Applicants must be a citizen of Nigeria.
- Applicants must have in possession of their WAEC, NECO, or GCE certificates.
- Valid means of identification such as National ID, Voters’card, drivers license or International passport.
- Applicant must not have any criminal record.
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Extension, or related field.
- NYSC certificate or exemption discharge certificate
- Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of relevant computer software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Prior experience in agricultural research or extension is an advantage.
