The governor of Ebonyi State has approved the recruitment of 2600 Ebonyi youths into the NHFSS 2024 to help combat insecurity across the state.
This recruitment is for able bodied men and women who are physically fit and ready to service the state in its quest to haunt insecurity within Ebonyi State.
The Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service was established amongst others to prevent and detect crimes and illegal activities going on in Nigerian forests.
The service would “Work with Nigeria Police and other security agencies as forest securities network due to their knowledge of the terrains.
About Ebonyi State NHFSS Recruitment
The Governor of Ebonyi State state, Francis Nwifuru, has approved the recruitment of 2,600 youths into the State command of the Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service (NHFSS).
The approval aims to enhance the capacity of security agencies in the State to fight banditry, kidnapping and other forms of criminalities, especially those committed within the forests.
To ensure immediate compliance to the Governor’s approvals, Commander Igwe announced without delay, vacancies for recruitment of able-bodied young men and women from the State into the Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service.
Eligibility and Requirements
However, to qualify for the recruitment;
- Applicant must be Ebonyi State citizen.
- Applicants must be 18 years and above.
- Must be not be physically challenged.
- Also have at least WAEC School Certificate, National Diploma, NCE, Bachelors Degree or equivalent.

Interested and qualified applicants are advised to submit their credentials to the NHFSS state command head office.
