List of IOE University College London Scholarship
1. IOE Centenary Master’s Scholarships
The scholarships cover full tuition fees and accommodation for one academic year at ISH. Kindly be advised that the scholarships provided do not include funding for living expenses in London, transportation, or any additional costs. The scholarships are valid for a single academic year, contingent upon meeting satisfactory academic standards.
To be considered for these scholarships, applicants must be residents of a qualifying low or lower-middle income country as per the World Bank’s classification.
2. IOE – Fulbright Scholarships
An annual Postgraduate Student Award for master’s study at IOE. The Postgraduate Student Award, IOE covers the student’s tuition fees and stipend for one year of full-time master’s level study.
While the annual Distinguished Teacher Award, under which selected teachers carry out a research project at IOE as part of their award programme.
Successful candidates receive a Fulbright grant to cover their:
- Flights
- Accommodation and
- Feeding allowance for the duration of the programme.
- IOE provides academic mentoring and a range of practical support.
The scholarship is open to USA citizens only, provided they reside outside the UK.
3. IOE – Windle Trust Scholarship
IOE annually offers one master’s scholarship in collaboration with the Windle Trust.
Applicants should be refugees, internally displaced or be otherwise affected by conflict from the countries of East, Central or the Horn of Africa and be resident in Kenya, Uganda, Sudan and South Sudan.
4. IOE – China Scholarship Council (CSC) Scholarship
IOE and China Scholarship Council (CSC) have partnered to offer a full PhD that covers tuition fees, and CSC provides a living expenses stipend.
This scholarship runs for up to 48 months, is available to all Chinese students, and is awarded annually.
5. IOE – Clarke Scholarships
These scholarships are available for practising school teachers from South Africa who wish to undertake a masters’ programme at IOE
The award will cover
- Return flights to London
- Course tuition fees, and
- A monthly stipend for accommodation and subsistence in London.
6. IOE Centenary – Windle Trust Scholarship
IOE is delighted to partner with the Windle Trust to offer annually one master’s scholarship for online part-time study for refugees, internally displaced or be otherwise affected by conflict based in Africa.
7. The Tamer Scholarship
The scholarship will enable a student from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or a national of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia currently based in another country to pursue the BA Media at IOE, UCL’s Faculty of Education and Society.

8. IOE – Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship
The scholarships are open to applicants from eligible Commonwealth nations for part-time Master’s programs through distance learning in selected courses provided by IOE.
In order to qualify for an IOE Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship, applicants must be a citizen of an eligible Commonwealth country, have been granted refugee status by one, or be a British Protected Person.
9. IOE – Aziz Foundation Scholarships
The Scholarships will provide three Master’s award to cover full tuition fees for students who wish to study at IOE, and are actively engaged in British Muslim communities.
The successful candidates must be eligible for Home fees status or be a forced migrant (as defined by UCL)..
10. IOE Centenary Doctoral Scholarships
The Centenary Doctoral Scholarships is not available for entry in 2024-25.
